The Agroponiente Group will present at Fruit Logística the recent award of B-Corp recognition.

This will be the 17th consecutive edition in which the company will be exhibiting at Messe Berlin, from 5 to 7 February, and this year it will have a new, larger stand in its usual Hall 8.2 (stand B-41).

The Agroponiente Group has everything ready to be present at the 2025 edition of the International Fruit and Vegetable Fair Fruit Logística, which is going to be held at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre in the German capital, between the 5th and 7th of this coming February. This will be the seventeenth time that the company from Almeria will be present in Berlin and in this exhibition, where its stand has already become an unmissable meeting point for the main European operators.

On this occasion, there will be important novelties, because, to start with, it will be the company’s first international public appearance after having obtained B-Corp recognition, which, as is now well known, only adorns around 8,000 companies from all over the world, very few of which are based in Spain.

At Fruit Logística, the Agroponiente Group’s stand will be giving a prominent role to this B-Corp recognition and the company’s professional team will place special emphasis on conveying to visitors to its stand the importance and significance of having become a ‘B-Corp company’, placing itself once again at the forefront of the sector, in this case in this important step forward.

In addition, the Agroponiente Group will have a new stand and position, in the same hall as in recent years, Hall 8.2 (a centrally located hall, close to the main hub of the fair and a regular stop for visitors), but in a different and larger space than in recent editions, growing to 60 metres, in order to accommodate the growing demand for the company’s activity at this professional meeting point. Specifically, the stand will be B-41 in Pavilion 8.2.

As every year, this stand will be used for intense commercial activity, which is the main objective of the company’s presence at the show, thanks to a powerful agenda of appointments planned and scheduled with clients from all over Europe, with whom the Agroponiente sales team that will be there has been arranging the different commercial meetings.

It will also be an opportunity for the Agroponiente Group to show the different international operators the growth figures that the company has been experiencing in recent years and especially so far this season 2024/205, with an increase in figures of over 20% which not only augurs well for a great season but already ensures a great one, thanks to the confidence of growers and clients.

And of course, the opportunity will also be used to offer and present the company’s wide range of traditional agricultural products and varieties to the whole of Europe, from tomato, cucumber and courgette to pepper, bean, melon, aubergine and watermelon, as well as some others that have also started to be marketed more recently. It should be remembered that the Agroponiente Group currently works with 4,000 farmers, in addition to the produce from its own farms, it has 25 collection centres, seven packing warehouses, five daily auctions and more than 2,300 employees.

But there are other important issues that will also be on the table at the Agroponiente Group’s stand in Berlin, such as its commitment to sustainability and the environment, translated into figures such as the reduction of its water consumption by 71. 4% and its electricity consumption by 27.4%, its carbon footprint by 68.7%, 96% waste recovery (practically 100% of what it uses is recycled), 88.2% plastic-free and sustainable packaging and 0% in terms of the wage gap, as there is no such discrimination in the company..

The company’s CEO, Imanol Almudí, stressed that ‘we have a lot of things to tell and very good things. And we are telling them, but now we are eager to share them directly with our customers and with major European and international operators. We are, today, a company in constant evolution and growth, as reflected in the data we have on the table and which we update every day. And we want to show them proudly, as we also want to share our brand new B-Corp recognition, our growth figures in terms of sustainability and, of course, share with them our plans for the future in the short and medium term. Fruit Logística is undoubtedly the ideal setting for all of this’.
