The Almeria-based company reaffirms its commitment to this emblematic charitable initiative, which links the consumption of vegetables with the fight against cancer through Condis supermarkets.

Grupo Agroponiente has once again lent its support to the charitable campaign “Peppers Against Cancer”, a well-established and recognized initiative driven annually by the Condis supermarket chain, in collaboration with the Catalan Federation of Cancer Organizations (FECEC). In this year’s edition, a total of €61,786 was raised, which will be entirely allocated to support cancer prevention, awareness, and patient support programs run by the FECEC through its 16 affiliated organizations.
-
For over a decade, Agroponiente has provided the raw materials for this charitable action, supplying the peppers distributed across hundreds of Condis locations in Catalonia and Andorra, thanks also to the dedication of over a thousand volunteers.
-
The company’s CEO, Imanol Almudí, also highlighted the symbolic value of this campaign:
“The small packaged units in which these peppers are sold have become a true symbol of solidarity and support for those who need it most. Hopefully, one day, this action will no longer be necessary, but until then, we will be here, giving our very best.”

Andrea Alonso, Head of Marketing and Sustainability at Grupo Agroponiente, also emphasized:
“Being part of this campaign year after year connects us with what truly matters: placing our business activity at the service of collective well-being. As a B Corp company, we believe that businesses must be a force for good, and our collaboration with Condis is a tangible way to live that purpose.”
As in previous years, the campaign was widely promoted on social media, helping to mobilize citizens and amplify visibility around the cause.
