In this way, Grupo Agroponiente has now 25 new centres to service growers, 16 of them in the province of Almeria and the other nine in Granada, and continues its expansion and growth process at origin.
Agroponiente Group continues with its determined, powerful and unstoppable process of growth and expansion in all aspects, including growth at source, with more points of service for farmers and greater density in its network of logistics centres in both the provinces of Almeria and Granada.
In this way, after the start-up of its new centre in Adra (former AgrupaAdra facilities), which represents a key step forward in its consolidation in this area, with the implementation of a daily auction and a packing centre, two services that until now it could not offer in the municipality of Abderita, now, throughout the month of September, three new logistics centres, three product collection and farmer service points, two of them, in this case, in the Levante area of Almeria, are being set up: The Cabo de Gata-Níjar area, specifically next to La Michelín; and in Cuevas del Almanzora, in the old Caicedo facilities; and one more in Granada, in the town of Carchuna.
Cuevas del Almanzora centre represents the return of the company to an area that it has known well for years, but in emblematic facilities that have housed the fruit and vegetable business for five generations: those of Caicedo, where produce has been auctioned daily for decades. Cuevas del Almanzora and the Levante area of Almeria is another strategic point in which Agroponiente Group had set an important expansion objective, which is now materialising with a large-scale landing to offer a serious, rigorous and professional service, with ‘Agroponiente DNA’, to the farmers in the area.
Meanwhile, the company has also decided to strengthen its positioning and presence in the border area between Almeria and Nijar to increase service and capacity for farmers in the areas of Ruescas and Pujaire. There, Grupo Agroponiente has a centre known as Agroponiente Ruescas, but now it is reinforcing this presence with a second facility next to the Michelin installations, which until now were managed by Alhóndiga La Unión. In this way, Grupo Agroponiente continues to reinforce its image and leadership capacity in this important production area, especially in the different tomato segments.
The company has also remodelled and strengthened its presence in the Granada town of Carchuna, with a new product collection and farmer service centre, which means that Grupo Agroponiente now has nine centres located in the province of Granada, among the 25 it has already reached in the whole of Southeast Spain, which exemplifies and clarifies its commitment to the farmers in this production area, where the company has its origins and where it has and will always maintain its spirit and its central nucleus.
In this way, the Agroponiente Group now has a total of 25 logistics centres, such as Polígono La Redonda (El Ejido, with daily auction and packing warehouse), El Treinta (El Ejido, with packing warehouse), Guardias Viejas (El Ejido, with daily auction and packing warehouse), Vegacañada (Almería, with daily auction and packing warehouse), Campohermoso (Níjar, with daily auction and packing warehouse), Campohermoso (Níjar, with daily auction and packing warehouse), Adra (with daily auction and packing warehouse), Ruescas (Almería), Michelín (Almería), Alhama, Roquetas de Mar, Gérgal, Canjáyar, Berja, Tierras de Almería, Cuevas del Almanzora and those located in Granada (Caniles, Benalúa, Albuñol, Castillo de Baños, Puntalón, Castell de Ferro, Carchuna, Jayena and Zafarraya.
