The Technical and R&D Departments have learned about the benefits of this system, which is based on injecting purified oxygen into irrigation water, enhancing conditions, yields, and sustainability.
Grupo Agroponiente’s Technical and R&D Departments have firsthand knowledge of an innovative nanobubble-based product developed by the American company Moleaer and distributed in Europe through the Almeria- based company Biosabor Nature.
This technology involves injecting a gas into a liquid, specifically injecting purified oxygen into irrigation water in reservoirs. Experiments are also underway with other gases such as ozone and nitrogen, offering various advantages for cultivation. Among these, one of the most significant benefits is the cleaning of drippers from biofilm, microalgae, and sediments that can be present in some irrigation waters, especially those from recycled sources.
During the practical demonstration, Grupo Agroponiente’s technicians witnessed a machine that, due to the particle size of the injected oxygen (less than 100 nanometers), creates high, uniform oxygenation throughout the reservoir’s water volume. This oxygenation is stable over time, making its effects more visible and consistent compared to other similar technologies available on the market.
The conclusion drawn from understanding this system and the demonstration is that it could be an ideal solution for regenerated source irrigation water, irrigation systems with constant clogging issues (due to the continuous use of
organic-based products in fertigation), hydroponic irrigation systems, improving soil structure and fungal problems (due to its fungistatic effect), and reducing fertilizer use while enhancing productivity.
Once again, the Technical and R&D Departments of Grupo Agroponiente are actively working to improve crop profitability and environmental respect through a philosophy known as ‘mindful agriculture’. This method is a key approach to ensuring efficient water use and combined irrigation systems by regenerating soils through the implementation of technological solutions.
