Grupo Agroponiente has appointed Andrea Alonso, Director of Marketing and Sustainability, to its Executive Committee, reinforcing the strategic role of brand, communication, sustainability and institutional relations in the company’s development and growth.
With this appointment, the Institutional Relations area will also report to Andrea Alonso, consolidating a management model that integrates corporate reputation, institutional dialogue and sustainability as key pillars of the group’s strategy.
Andrea Alonso has developed her professional career at Agroponiente since 2014, where she has taken on different responsibilities within the marketing area and currently leads marketing, corporate communication and sustainability initiatives aimed at strengthening the company’s positioning and its positive impact on society.
She holds a degree in Marketing and Market Research from the University of Almería and a Master’s degree in Corporate Social Responsibility, building a strategic vision that integrates business, brand and sustainability as drivers of corporate transformation.
Since 2019 she has led Agroponiente’s sustainability area and was part of the team that achieved the company’s B Corp certification, a milestone that positioned Agroponiente among the leading sustainability-driven companies in the Spanish agri-food sector.
Andrea Alonso is also a B Corp Multiplier and has specialized training in CSRD, enabling her to translate new European regulatory frameworks into the company’s strategic decision-making processes.
She also represents Agroponiente in the AECOC Food Waste Committee, contributing to sector initiatives aimed at reducing food waste and promoting a more efficient and responsible value chain.
