Spanish cucumber

The Spanish cucumber is known for its short size (between 10-15 cm) and its dark green colour. It’s also very spiny. That’s why it’s also called «short black cucumber». Aside from its colour and spines, the Spanish cucumber is also characterised by its intense flavour and aroma.

A huge 96% water content makes cucumber the best fit in summer to fulfil the daily need of water. It’s recommended to eat it in salads or simply with a little bit of salt and oil.

In addition, cucumber is a vegetable with high nutritional content. It contains Vitamin B, essential to nerve health. It also contains folic acid, vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc.
