Italian pepper

You will recognise this type of pepper because of its long shape. It’s also relatively thin. The most famous Italian pepper is dark green, although one can also find it in other colours, such as red or yellow.

Among the nutritional properties of these peppers are their high content of vitamin A, C and E, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus and few carbohydrates. This is what makes this pepper perfect for any diet, even if it’s a low calorie one. But there is more. Did you know that its water percentage exceeds 90%, just like most lettuces?

The great thing is that one can eat these peppers both raw and cooked, although it is advisable to eat them fresh and raw to benefit from all their properties. At Agroponiente, we produce these peppers all year round. So go ahead, enjoy!
