French cucumber

The French cucumber is slightly larger than the Spanish one. It’s about 15-20 cm long, it has a dark green color and fewer spines. The flavour is milder than the Spanish cucumber.

If you love Andalusian gazpacho, the French cucumber is the type of cucumber used to prepare it. However, it can also be added to salads or eaten with a little bit of oil and salt.

It’s rich in potassium, an essential mineral to regulate blood pressure and the transmission of messages through the nervous system. This mineral makes cucumber a cleansing and diuretic food. French cucumber also have high content of vitamin K, which contributes to normal blood clotting, and vitamin B, essential to promote effective nerve-impulse transmission and support healthy cellular function.
