Grupo Agroponiente has lived an intense first day of Fruit Logística 2020, with the presentation of a multitude of new varieties in a stand full of visitors

The company presents a wide variety of specialties and products derived from its R&D work, from the small-sized Kisy watermelon to tomatoes of different shades or round zucchini

The stand today had the visit of the delegations of the Provincial Council and the City Councils of Almería and El Ejido, with Vice President Angel Escobar and Mayors Ramón Fernández Pacheco and Paco Góngora respectively.

Grupo Agroponiente has lived today an intense first day of the Fruit Logística Berlin 2020 international fruit and vegetable fair, in which it participates for the twelfth consecutive occasion and where it promotes its products this week in a stand located in Hall 8.2.

Today has been an intense business day, with dozens of visits and meetings for business promotion and customer management, in a stand characterized primarily by its operation. In fact, the CEO of Grupo Agroponiente, Jorge Reig, highlighted at the end of the day that “it has been a very intense first day, certainly more than expected to be the day of the premiere. We certainly traveled with a well-prepared business agenda and a team of more than twenty people. It is a complete fair, with the presence of the whole world and a true universe of business possibilities. Without a doubt, for a company with our potential, Fruit Logistica is an annual opportunity that we have to make the most of and with that mentality we have come.

In fact, on the first day of work, commercial visits have already been received at the stand of Grupo Agroponiente of the five continents, in addition to carrying out important commercial meetings with some of the most important clients of the company throughout Europe.

In addition, Grupo Agroponiente is presenting at Fruit Logística a wide range of specialties in products such as tomato, zucchini, watermelon or pepper, the result of the work of the R + D + i Department and the constant field work with farmers and customers. Thus, these days, red, orange and yellow cherry and cocktail tomato varieties can be seen in the company’s exhibitors in Berlin; roasted tomatoes of different types and even purple tomatoes; Kisy watermelon; flavor peppers; round zucchini or tropical fruits such as mango, avocado and papaya. Without forgetting the clear commitment to the organic product and with Demeter certification that the company has been developing for more than four years.

At the institutional level, the first day has served to receive the view of the Vice President of the Diputación, Ángel Escobar, and the deputy of Agrifood Promotion, Antonio Jesús Rodríguez; as well as the delegations of the Town Halls of Almería and El Ejido, with their mayors at the head, Ramón Fenánchez Pacheco and Paco Góngora; as well as the councilors, Juan José Segura in the case of the capital; and Francisco Pérez (Agriculture) and Juan José Bonilla in the ejidense; among others.

Tomorrow, another intense day of activities and meetings is prepared at the stand of Grupo Agroponiente, as well as work on a tour of the thirty pavilions that make up Messe Berlin, to test all the novelties of the international agri-food market. Because, as Jorge Reig expresses, “that is another objective of our presence here: to be aware of everything that is happening, of innovations, novelties and trends that occur in all markets worldwide of our sector ”.
