Watermelon Mini

A little watermelon with a surprising great flavour
The mini watermelon that we grow in Agroponiente contains the same properties and health benefits as the traditional watermelon. It helps with hydration, has a diuretic function and contains plenty of vitamins. The difference is it’s all concentrated – it’s a small-sized watermelon. In addition, this nutritious treasure is seedless, which makes it especially easy for the youngest and oldest to eat. It’s a great companion for hot summer afternoons, and it’s easy to carry, cut and store. But there’s more: thanks to its small size and delicious flavour, you don’t generate any food waste.
The mini watermelon is so tiny that not only is it practical to eat at any time of the day; it also fits anywhere in the fridge. In addition, it also helps us survive through the hot temperatures: its mini size keeps it fresh!

Reasons to like watermelon even more
Practically everyone praises watermelon, and it is no surprise. The quintessential summer fruit is very refreshing and consequently highly hydrating. In addition, it contains beneficial nutrients for our health, such as vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium and magnesium.
Watermelon is high in lycopene, a carotenoid with antioxidant and cardioprotective properties. It also contains citrulline, an amino acid with cardioprotective properties that helps prevent arteriosclerosis and thus, maintain the arteries and blood vessels in good condition. This results in a healthier heart.
Thanks to its vitamin A content, watermelon is also very beneficial for the eyes. This vitamin helps prevent age-related ocular degeneration. Indeed, we mean having to extend your arm to read through your phone.
Like melons, watermelons will also help us healthily lose weight – they’re low in calories. And there is still more! There is more: thanks to its high antioxidant content, watermelon is an ideal fruit to fight inflammation.
